What we collect
Only what you type into our forms:
- Your name.
- Your phone number, WhatsApp number or email address.
- Whether you are a student or a parent, and your stage of study.
- Your question, if you ask one.
- The page you used and the time you sent the form.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell your data.
Why we use it
- To do what you asked: send your plan or date alerts, call you back or answer your question.
- To contact you about joining the Merchant Navy, if you agreed to this.
We use your data only with your consent, which you give with the tick box on each form.
Who processes it
Our website and forms run on Cloudflare. Your details are then kept in our own contact management system. Questions are published on this website without your name or contact details.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for up to 2 years after we last hear from you, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you your data, correct it or delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@joinmerchantnavy.org and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to fill in our forms with you.
